Dear
Friend,
If you do not already have a habit of gathering daily manna the first thing in the morning (we can look at the example given to us in Exodus 16 and find the pattern for collecting daily manna), make it a habit. Establish your life and your schedule to allow you the necessary time to do your daily collection first thing every morning to give you the strength to make it through the day. And remember that today’s manna will not be sufficient for tomorrow; tomorrow’s manna must be collected tomorrow morning.

Today's Passage : Today's Passage:Subjecta:The Law and Sin [Part 2]
Bible Verse:Romans 7:13-20
"Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.
For I do not understand my own actions. I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me."
Message:
Paul is sometimes difficult to follow, and there is nowhere this is more true than in Romans. What in the world is he talking about? Well, he is talking about an issue that can be stated clearly, but which perplexes almost every Christian at some point: If we do not want to sin, why do we do it? If we love God and believe in Christ, and want to do good, why do we still sin? Do we secretly not love God? Are we just pretending to follow Christ? No!
Paul himself admits, “I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” Why do we still feel a touch of envy at someone’s big beautiful house or shiny new car, or feel a stirring of lust when we see a beautiful bare young body, or get red in the face when someone cuts us off in traffic? It’s not what we want to do, so why do we do it?
Jesus Holy Spirit
First off, it is good that we do not want to sin. Rest assured, that hating our sin is a good thing. This does not mean we hate ourselves; we love ourselves. What we cannot do is rationalize our conduct, when our conduct is wrong. Nobody likes to feel guilty. But we cannot twist reality and facts, to make it seem (to ourselves or others) we have not sinned. We can deceive ourselves; we can deceive others; but we cannot deceive God. There is a better solution.
Always remember that it is sin, not the law that defines sin, which is wrong. When we have sinned, we often try to blame anyone or anything other than ourselves. But do not try to blame the law for your problems when you have broken it. This is what Paul means when he says, in the first sentence, “Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means!”
Rather, once we fully accept God’s grace and live in Christ, we are dead to sin and born again in Christ. It is no longer “us” committing the sin, for we are dead to sin; but sin continues to dwell within us. Our flesh was sold into sin and as long as our flesh is alive, the sin within us will not die. But we find, and will continue to find, complete forgiveness from it, when all is said and done.
Let us not deny our sin. Rather, let us accept our forgiveness, for such is the promise of Jesus Christ.

Prayer :
Oh Lord as I face creation
Let me see with eyes made clear
By Your promise of salvation,
Never to return to fear,......Amen
