If you do not already have a habit of gathering daily manna the first thing in the morning (we can look at the example given to us in Exodus 16 and find the pattern for make it a habit. Establish your life and your schedule to allow you the necessary time to do your daily collection first thing every morning to give you the strength to make it through the day. And remember that today’s manna will not be sufficient for tomorrow; tomorrow’s manna must be collected tomorrow morning. Monday, March 6, 2023
Today's Passage : Today's Passage :Jesus Reconciled Me to God Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:18 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Message:
Reconciled to God Once, we were strangers to God, and sin separated us from Him. Through Christ, we have been brought together as friends for all eternity.
This promise comes right after the powerful verse where Paul tells us we are new creatures in Christ.
You might notice the word “reconcile” in this promise. It is not a word we use very often. It means to bring together or to change thoroughly.
Friends With God, God has reconciled us to Himself. Because of His love, He took the first step in reconciliation. Through Jesus Christ, although we were once enemies, we are now friends of God.
Reconciliation is not just salvation. It is not only having your sin forgiven (although that would be enough), but it is a complete relationship change. So many Christians know their sins are forgiven but aren’t living in the new relationship reconciliation brings. They don’t see that they have moved from being an enemy of God to His close friend.
You are now God’s friend, and He is now your friend.
Impartation Reconciliation also has to do with impartation. When Christ was on the cross, He took on your sin. When He rose from the grave, He placed His righteousness on you. You are reconciled with God because He removed your sin and placed His righteousness on you.
Since you are a new creature and have the righteousness of Christ in you, God calls you to a minister of reconciliation. The heart of evangelism is to bring your friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to God.
As you mature in your walk with God, you grow more and more like Christ. The more you are like Christ, the more you have a heart for reconciling others to God. You really can’t be walking in the power of Christ and not have a desire for those around you to become friends of God.
Meditation : Prayer : Heavenly Father thank you for your love. We worship by faith that you will help us to live close to you but one day we will worship you together with our Lord that is our hope help us to live close to you .... Amen |
