Friend,
If you do not already have a habit of gathering daily manna the first thing in the morning (we can look at the example given to us in Exodus 16 and find the pattern for make it a habit. Establish your life and your schedule to allow you the necessary time to do your daily collection first thing every morning to give you the strength to make it through the day. And remember that today’s manna will not be sufficient for tomorrow; tomorrow’s manna must be collected tomorrow morning. Thursday, February 23, 2023
Today's Passage : Today's Passage :Saved by God Bible Verse:Psalm 21:1-7 "21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! 21:2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. 21:3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. 21:4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. 21:5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. 21:6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. 21:7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved." Message:
You cannot save yourself. Only God can save you. He saved you because of his ‘unfailing love’. Therefore, like David, put your trust in him today (v.7). This psalm begins with David praising God for his salvation:
‘O Lord the king [David] will delight in Your strength, And in Your salvation how greatly will he rejoice!’ (v.1, AMP).
In this passage, we see some of the many blessings that salvation includes:
*1* . Answered prayer¬_ ‘You have given him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips’ (v.2, AMP).
*2* . Unending blessings_ ‘You send blessings of good things… You set a crown of pure gold on his head… You make him be blessed and a blessing forever’ (vv.3,6a, AMP).
*3* . Eternal life_ ‘He asked life of you, and you gave it to him – long life forever and evermore’ (v.4, AMP).
*4* . Victorious living_ ‘Through the victories you gave, his glory is great; you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty’ (v.5).
*5* . Joy and gladness_‘You make him exceedingly glad about the joy of your presence (v.6b, AMP).
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, that you saved me. Thank you for your unfailing love and many blessings. I put my trust in you today.
Meditation : Prayer : Lord our heavenly father lead us victoriously all day today be with us as our salvation our refuge our rock our guide in Jesus name .....Amen |
