Dear
Friend,
If you do not already have a habit of gathering daily manna the first thing in the morning (we can look at the example given to us in Exodus 16 and find the pattern for make it a habit. Establish your life and your schedule to allow you the necessary time to do your daily collection first thing every morning to give you the strength to make it through the day. And remember that today’s manna will not be sufficient for tomorrow; tomorrow’s manna must be collected tomorrow morning.

Today's Passage : Today's Passage :Our Conduct
Bible Verse :Philippians 1:27-30
"Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind [lit. soul] striving together for the faith of the gospel; in no way alarmed by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me."
Message:
Paul ended the previous section with a statement of his belief that he would continue to live and be able to visit Philippi in the future. He pulls back a bit here; he will instruct the Philippians to conduct themselves correctly “whether or not” he visits them again. So he gives them instruction, but (as noted in an earlier passage) his tone is inspirational and supportive, rather than corrective.
Christian racial harmony
He first, as we see so often in later epistles, urges them to unity. We must all be pointed in the same direction, and that direction is towards the Cross; not towards our own opinions, and certainly not towards political concepts, racial arguments, different ideas about . . . well, about anything. Our opinions are worthless, our vision clouded by our own prejudice, upbringing, and desire to feed our earthly appetites. We have one goal, and that is to look with full attention at Christ crucified. When we look away from the cross atop Calvary, we pull ourselves and others off the path to holiness.
Paul hopes he will hear that we are not alarmed by our opponents: easier said than done! We have emotions, and we get angry and embarrassed when we hear false words. So he gives us something to strive for: being able to hear anti-Christian speech and see ungodly works without alarm. For evil is not going to disappear; in fact, as I read the Bible, it will appear to triumph, at some point. Paul tells us to remember that such awful things are, in fact, signs of destruction for those who work them and, oddly enough, signs of salvation for us.
And third, he tells the Philippians—and us—to be ready to suffer in joy, as he has just demonstrated. The “conflict” Paul means at the end of the Scripture is the conflict he has previously described, between wanting to live and wanting to die. To live is good, for in life we may spread the Gospel, informing others and bolstering the confidence of our brothers and sisters. But to die is also good, for we will be relieved of our burden and accepted into Christ’s waiting arms.
Meditation
:
Prayer :
The Lord bless us and keep us. The Lord make his face to shine upon us, and be gracious unto us. The Lord lift up his countenance upon us, and give us peace, this day and evermore..........Amen
