Dear
Friend,
If you do not already have a habit of gathering daily manna the first thing in the morning (we can look at the example given to us in Exodus 16 and find the pattern for make it a habit. Establish your life and your schedule to allow you the necessary time to do your daily collection first thing every morning to give you the strength to make it through the day. And remember that today’s manna will not be sufficient for tomorrow; tomorrow’s manna must be collected tomorrow morning.

Today's Passage : Today's Passage :Interpretation of Scripture
Bible Verse:2 Peter 1:13-21 (ESV)
"Ithink it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.
And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
Message:
Interpretation of the Bible is sometimes excruciatingly difficult. First, times do change and some customs must affect the meaning of Scripture. Even the most ardent fundamentalist does not consider it obligatory to wear sandals and few if any go from door to door, asking that the inhabitants give them a room for the night.
Peter (by Giotto)
Secondly, we do not always know the exact meanings of the original words; most of Christ's words have been translated several times, and even the ancient Greek or Hebrew translation is sometimes a bit obscure. For example, Christ spoke in Aramaic; and so even if we know ancient Greek and read the original Bible, we are reading a Greek translation of Christ’s Aramaic words!
But most important, humans are fallible. We cannot see the unvarnished truth. It is not a capability God has given to us. Everything we think, everything we know, is colored by our own emotions and personality and culture.
So what do we make of Peter's instruction that “no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation”? Well, we must try not to “interpret.” We must read the Bible and try to set aside our own preconceptions of right and wrong. Almost everyone seeks to read the Bible to find support for their beliefs, at least to some degree; it is human nature.
We want the Bible to say what we learned when we were young. We want the Bible to reinforce our own thoughts of what is right and wrong. We naturally seek support rather than enlightenment. But it is the worst kind of sinful pride to do these things. The Bible must be read with an absolutely open mind. We must do all in our power to have the mind of one who seeks truth rather than the mind of one who thinks he knows the truth.

Prayer :
May the love of the Father, the tenderness of the Son, and the presence of the Spirit, gladden our hearts and bring peace to our souls, this day and all days,
Amen
